CASIC stands for « Coopérative d’Achat de la Société Suisse des Importateurs et Marchands de Comestibles ». The idea of establishing a common purchasing organisation originated in the economically challenging thirties.
The constitutive meeting took place on 22nd. January 1934.
Today, as a significant enterprise in the Swiss retail trade, the CASIC purchasing organisation, with both, members and other customers, reliably supplies the domestic market every day with excellent comestible products.
